Cryolipo is the most effective non-invasive fat reduction method available. This technique was developed when two doctors noticed that American children who had sucked ice lollies had dimples when they became adults. When they investigated the situation they found that fat cells in the cheeks of the adults had been destroyed by freezing induced by the cold of the ice lollies. From this discovery cryolipolysis or fat freezing was developed.
With our most up to date cryolipo machine up to 25% of fat cells can be destroyed in the area treated. The most common areas for treatment are upper and lower abdomen, love handles, inner thighs and bat wings. The treatment time is approximately one hour and apart from the treated area feeling cold the procedure is painless. The most common side effects are redness and bruising in the area treated which disappears in a week or so. It takes about six weeks to two months for the full effect to be seen, as the dead fats are removed from the body. The dead fat cells will not be replaced and will have been permanently removed. The same area can be treated up to three times.
