Acne is a common problem not only for teenagers but also for older adults. Acne is caused by a build-up of sebum oil in the hair follicles which creates the perfect environment for bacterium growth. This bacteria called propionibaterium acne causes inflammation, redness and in some cases cysts which can lead to scarring.
The most common treatment for acne is prescribed antibiotics which often causes an upset stomach and diarrhoea. Our X-Lase CPL machine produces a wide wavelength band; where the short wavelengths destroy the P.ance and the longer wavelengths reduce sebaceous gland volume causing a reduction in sebum production. Along with the increased fibreblast growth that promotes collagen synthesis the outcome is that there will also be less possibility of acne scarring.
A treatment plan requires six sessions once a week or every two weeks. The treatment is suitable for all skin types. There is little discomfort during the treatment or side effects and a client can resume their normal life style immediately after treatment.
